After trying for the past 3 years to keep my teaching blog going throughout the school year, I've decided to take a new approach to the content. I'm opening up the opportunity for my 6th grade students to write about what we are doing in the classroom and publish their work here. I am excited to see through their eyes about the work we are doing together and to watch them grow as both artists and writers.
Some topics that I hope we will cover include classroom rules and procedures, projects and concepts we have worked on, written analysis of artworks covered in class, overviews of the character topics we are learning about with ClassDojo, and many more. We are also applying for Classroom Jobs this week, so I hope to get quite a few Bloggers "employed" soon.
I can't believe the end of the 1st quarter is next week and that my time with this group of students is almost halfway over! I hope all of you have had a strong start to the school year and wish you a speedy yet productive trip through DEVOLSON* and into the holiday season.
